Dr. Fezile visited Hope Village, a safe haven for children who have suffered abuse and negligence. It was here we he had the opportunity to speak to the staff, hear some of the heartbreaking stories about how the children were found and spread a little bit of joy by entertaining him with his arm wrestling skill.
Thanks to the newly launched ‘From the Ground Up Namibia Foundation’ and the Mister Supranational Organization, Fezile also delivered some necessities, which were received with gratitude. A staff remember remarked that they are immensely grateful for the donation because every donation matters and helps.
Namibian director, Willem Fourie, pledged that the Miss and Mister Supranational Namibia platform and the From the Ground Up Namibia foundation will keep supporting Hope Village as it is a very special place that needs the support to continuing ensuring that the children are happy, healthy and taken well care of.
“It speaks volumes of a place that someone who grew up there came back to work as a staff member and that just tells you everything you need to know about this little village where hope thrives. The stories are sad, yes, but the joy of the children really touched my heart and that is all thanks to an incredible team of people who instil self-respect, love and hope as core values," Fez remarked after his visit.
